How do your awnings hold up in the wind?
With proper use and installation our awnings can withstand up to 50 mph gusts of wind. Retractable Awnings should not be left extended if the weather is uncomfortable for you to enjoy the outdoors.
Are your awnings waterproof?
Our awnings are not waterproof; but they are water repellant. This means that during the finishing process a water repellant finish is applied to the fabric. Normal wear will reduce the effectiveness of this finish as will cleaning the fabric. For those concerned, you can purchase a water repellant application from us that you can apply yourselves.
How do I clean my awning?
One of the best ways to keep your awning looking good is to clean it by hosing the fabrics off on a monthly basis with clear water. This will help prevent dirt from becoming deeply imbedded in the fabric and will also eliminate the need for more vigorous cleanings. Air dry your awning after cleaning (never steam press or dry in an electric or gas dryer as fabric will shrink).
Will my awning mildew?
Mildew can grow on any surface that is dirty. To keep your awning from collecting mildew, the fabric must be kept clean.
